We would like to introduce you to some of our graduates.
Meet Kenny. . .
"I went to treatment five times between the ages of thirteen and sixteen.
I needed treatment. I was using addictively at twelve. I hated treatment
every time I got there, but got used to it and usually ended up getting into
it by the time I left. I went to some really good treatment centers, but it
wasn't enough. Until I went to long-term care, I was never able to stay
sober. I don't know why it wasn't recommended before, but I'm really
thankful that I got to go. I believe that if I hadn't gotten sober, I would
have died before my eighteenth birthday."
Meet Mike. . .
"I went to treatment when I was fourteen. I wanted to go. I was really getting
scared about my using, and the people I was hanging around with. I came
home after treatment but didn't stay long. My mom was not able to hold me
responsible. I began to fall back into my old patterns of using behaviors. I
talked with my aftercare counselor and was able to get to halfway before I
used. I'm back home now with enough time and a good enough program
to handle it. I'm glad I went."
